What is Thon?
The Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon (THON™) is the largest student run philanthropy in
the world! Penn State students plan this amazing event and collect donations year-round to benefit The
Four Diamonds Fund, Conquering Childhood Cancer, and the Penn State Children's Hospital in
Hershey, PA, all in the hopes of one day finding a cure for pediatric cancer. THON™ is the collective
effort of over 40,000 students and has become one of Penn State's greatest traditions!

What Does it Mean to AEPi?
Thon is a huge part of the year for us. Every year we steadily increase the amount of money we raise,
and are looking to have a huge year next year. Seeing the faces on the children puts into perspective the
importance of THON and making a child with cancer happy. This year, THON 2007 raised over
$5,240,385.178. Alpha Epsilon Pi along with SDT placed 10th in the greek competition contributing
$$91,000 to THON. Congratulations, another successful year of THON. We are looking forward to another successful year with SDT next year.
