Welcome to the Penn State Chapter of Delta Upsilon. Delta Upsilon has had a long and storied past, both locally and globally.  Founded on Tuesday, November 4, 1834 at Williams College, in Williamstown, Massachusetts, it is the sixth oldest fraternity in North America and the oldest non-secret.  That means no secret handshakes, no secret rituals, no secret hazing.  It was founded upon four principles, the Promotion of  Friendship, the Development of Character, the Diffusion of Liberal Culture, and the Advancement of Justice. Delta Upsilon is an organization rich in history and tradition.  For more than 160 years, Delta Upsilon has been a leader in the fraternity world.  Since 1911, Penn State's DU has been a place for men to call home.

       At Penn State, we are active in virtually every corner of campus, from Lion Ambassadors, to Dance Marathon Overall Chairman, and Sports Clubs to Honor Societies.  We are ranked in the top 10 fraternities academically and are regularly top contenders for the Bischoff Trophy for excellence in Fraternity Intramural Sports.  One of the best ways to get involved in activities and make a big campus like University Park shrink is to join a Greek organization.
