Xi-Chotic Xi History

On the cool late Summer evening of September 6th, 2001, one divinely inspired young man came to one of the most important decisions he would ever make in his life.  This inspired individual decided that it was time for a change on the campus of Pennsylvania State University.  He realized that there were not enough choices when it came to African American Greek Life.

James Williams decided to devote his talents and capabilities to unity, service, scholarship, and leadership in the name of Beta Phi Pi.  After gathering seven other strong willed individuals, Beta Phi Pi was ready to begin its future at Penn State.  Together, these eight individuals formed an immediate and everlasting bond that would not only shape Beta Phi Pi history, but greek life at this school, as they knew it.

Beta Date Janurary 5th, 2002 was the day that will be etched in Beta Phi Pi history forever, these eight individuals, Walter Deshields, Brian Campbell, William Smith, Brook Nelson, Bruce Payne, James Williams, Corey Trower, and Andre Mcleod were inducted as members of this great Fraternity and given their charter.   Beta Yacht Black Dynasty was on its way to clear out the white clouds that were destroying the black sky at Penn State for far too long.

With the unity that these eight young men possessed and the wisdom that was being given to them by their three Most Honorable Founders, they would begin to spread the name of Beta throughout the land.  Officially named the Xi-Chotic Xi Chapter on Beta Date March 10th, 2002 these gentlemen became ready to represent everything this great Fraternity represents.
