alpha Kappa Delta Phi :
Is the largest and fastest growing
national Asian American interest and service sorority. aKDPhi was
founded at UC Berkeley and was recognized on February 7, 1990.
We promote sisterhood, scholarship, leadership, and Asian
Awareness in the University and community. alpha Kappa Delta
Phi was founded at The Pennsylvania State University in the
Fall of 1994 by 14 women. Since then, we have grown rapidly
and now have over 43 chapters across the nation.
Alpha Nu Omega Fraternity
:
Alpha Nu Omega Fraternity, Inc
was founded on November 3, 1988 on the campus of Morgan State
University. The purpose of Alpha Nu Omega Fraternity, Inc is
to present a Christian alternative to the students and/or
faculty on college/university campuses, to minister to the
needs of the whole person (spirit, soul, and body), and to
promote an attitude of academic excellence among its members.
Here at Penn State, the brothers of the Eminent Eta chapter
continue to uphold the core values of the brotherhood:
Leadership, Integrity, Family
and Education.
Alpha Nu Omega Sorrority
Chi Upsilon Sigma :
Chi Upsilon Sigma was founded in April 29th
1980 in the New Brunswick campus of Rutgers University as the
first independent Latina sorority in the nation. We were
founded by 7 strong and proud Latina women who, in a time
where Latino higher education was slim and women were still
fighting to obtain quality education, created a support group
to help alleviate the challenges faced by the minority
community in higher education. No matter the state or the
chapter the mission of Chi Upsilon Sigma remains the same: to
empower and inspire WOMEN of all ethnicities to continue to
gain wisdom through education, to educate the community in
each state, chapter and college campus about the issues faced
not only by minorities but by human beings of all parts of the
world, and to promote a positive image of the minority
community everywhere we go. We were founded as an education
and service based sorority and as such we devote ourselves to
the challenge of our cause: “Wisdom through Education”.
Delta Sigma Iota : DSI
was founded in August of 2000 at the
Pennsylvania State University by 5 unique individuals to
promote unity, spread truth, value education, and integrate
culture into our daily lives. Delta Sigma Iota is the first
South Asian Interest fraternity at PSU that emphasizes the
value of culture, strength of unity and academic excellence.
It is a fraternity that diligently works to provide the South
Asian community with assistance in many ways.
Lambda Theta Alpha
Lambda Phi Epsilon :
Is a social and service fraternity with Asian-American
concerns and interests in mind. Our goal is to establish and
perpetuate Brotherhood and fellowship among its members. With
42 chapters from coast to coast, ΛΦΕ provides a common ground
for men of all ethnicities with similar goals and beliefs to
come together and unite as one. Grounded on the principles of
wisdom, honor, and courage ΛΦΕ continues to teach young men
the fundamentals of leadership and strong moral character.
Pi Delta Psi :
The mission of Pi Delta Psi Fraternity, Inc. is to maintain
its Fraternal existence by instilling values that nurture and
perpetuate the continual growth and development of the
individual through Academic Achievement, Cultural Awareness,
Righteousness, Friendship and Loyalty while fostering ethical
behavior, leadership, and philanthropy.
Sigma Lambda Gamma : Sigma
Lambda Gamma strives to be the premier organization committed
to providing a mechanism of empowerment to all women.
The organization was founded on April 9, 1990, at the
University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa. We uphold 5
founding Principals of: Academics, Community Service, Cultural
Awareness, Morals and Ethics, and Social Interaction.
Today, Sigma Lambda Gamma is the largest, historically
Latina-based national sorority with a multicultural membership
in chapters and alumni associations throughout the United
States. "

Sigma Omicron Pi :
The sisterhood of Sigma Omicron Pi was established at San
Francisco State University in 1930 by ten Asian American women
pursuing the interest of teaching. For over 75 years, all of
the chapters of SOP are extremely involved in their respective
communities, volunteering their time at community agencies and
raising money to donate to favorable charities. Today, SOP has
earned respectable reputation as a benefactor to the Asian
American cause. The Iota Chapter here at Penn State was
established on July 9, 2001. Since its inception, Iota Chapter
sisters have dedicated themselves to promoting Asian awareness
and fulfilling their responsibility to the community by
exemplifying the four objectives of Sigma Omicron Pi: unity,
lifelong friendships, leadership, and community service.
