The Multicultural Greek Council at Penn State
University was established in the Fall of 2002. MGC represents the
numerous
culturally and religiously diverse social fraternities and sororities at The Pennsylvania State University, and acts as the supervising governing body for them.
Currently, MGC governs 10 different fraternities and sororities.
The purpose of MGC includes:
- To nurture existing and future multicultural fraternities and sororities.
- To encourage scholastic achievement among its member organizations and individuals.
- To coordinate semester activities to ensure adequate cooperation and harmony among member organizations.
- To provide a forum for discussion and to develop action strategies regarding issues relevant to the MGC community.
