Beta Theta Supports the Following Organizations
Girls Scouts of the USA
In 1998 Kappa Delta announced a new national collaboration with this organization of 3 million girls and young women. With this partnership Kappa Delta became the first and only National Panhellenic conference group to adopt the Girl Scouts as a national philanthropy. Visit website.
Prevent Child Abuse America
Since 1984 Kappa Delta chapters and alumnae associations have held Shamrock Projects, local fundraisers that vary from jambalaya feeds and twister games to luncheons and golf classics, to support the prevention of child abuse. Shamrock Project, staged by thousands of women in hundreds o communities nationwide, is held throughout the month of March and has earned local and national media attention. A full 80% of the money raised stays in the community and is donated to local child abuse prevention agencies; the other remaining 20% is donated to the Prevent Child Abuse America, PCAA, for its national programs. Prevent Child Abuse America was founded by a Kappa Delta, the late Donna Stone. Visit website.

Beta Theta also Participates in THON
THON is the largest student-run philanthropy in the world that raises funds and awareness for the fight against pediatric cancer. The sisters of Kappa Delta, along with our partner fraternity Beta Sigma Beta, work hard every year to benefit this amazing cause. Last year THON raised $7,490,133.87 which was donated to the Four Diamonds Fund that benefits the children and their families being treated at Hershey Medical Center. We always have so much fun going on road trips four weekends out of the year to raise money by “canning.” Everyone looks forward to the fun car rides, home cooked meals, and the quality time spent together working hard to help kids in need. The sisters of KD look forward to THON every year and are committed to doing everything they can to help fight pediatric cancer. Visit website.
This year's THON chairs are listed on Beta Theta.
