Hello! I am Kelsey Porcek, the president of the Beta Theta Chapter of Kappa Delta here at Pennsylvania State University. We are pleased to have you visiting our website!

When I first came to Penn State, I wanted to become involved on this big campus, achieve good grades, learn more, and make new friends. As I look back now I realize that joining Kappa Delta was probably the best and easiest decision I have made so far in my college career. It has provided me with amazing lifelong friends, community service opportunities, new networks, memorable experiences and a chance to grow into an independent woman. In addition, I have learned valuable life lessons that the classroom just doesn’t teach.

Kappa Delta’s participate in various events throughout the year that include, but are not limited to Homecoming, Greek Sing, THON, Greek Week, Shamrock, Girls Scouts, philanthropy events and educational programs. All of the events we do are a lot of fun and benefit the community as well. By working together as a chapter and with different social groups, we are able to form a tighter bond within our organization and outside.

Even though we love to have a lot of fun, Kappa Delta’s always focuses and puts academics first. Our GPA is always in the top half of the campus’s 23 Panhellenic Chapters and above the All Women’s Average at Pennsylvania State University. We recognize the importance of academics, while still achieving social success.

The Kappa Delta values hightlight personal presence, leadership, and sisterhood, and enlarging our world. In the words of one of our founding sisters, "We strive for that which is honorable, beautiful, and highest."

Kappa Delta has endless opportunities for young college women during and after college years to get involved and grow as a person. I cannot emphasize enough how lucky and grateful I am to be a part of Kappa Delta. It has provided me with countless memories, involvement and of course friends that will never be replaced.
