Theta Chapter- Penn State University |

Omega Phi Alpha is a National Service sorority that has recently formed a chapter here at Penn State University. We are an organization that is committed to community service, promoting sisterhood, friendship, leadership, and cooperation. Omega Phi Alpha was founded in 1967 in Bowling Green State University, in Ohio. There are chapters at many schools across the country, and we are proud to now have a chapter here at Penn State. The new chapter of Omega Phi Alpha at Penn State has a special history. Before we became Omega Phi Alpha, we were known as Theta Alpha Pi, a social-service sorority that was exclusively at Penn State. We participated in community service projects such as Second Mile, the Autism Walk, spaghetti dinners, and the Red Cross blood drives. We also participated in special events on campus such as Homecoming and the Penn State Dance Marathon (THON). We shared many of the ideals that Omega Phi Alpha believe in, and started a chapter here at Penn State. |
