Being an out of state student at one of the largest public universities in the country was really overwhelming at first, and I had no idea how I was ever going to make friends at this huge school. But then a friend convinced me to try fall recruitment, and it was the best decision I have ever made since coming to Penn State! At first it was really overwhelming; between school work and everything else that I had going on, I thought it was all too much to handle and actually thought about de-pledging. But then two of my pledge sisters showed up at my door, and if you can believe it, a year later I went from being the girl who almost quit, to being the chapter President! I have made some of the best friends I could ever ask for throughout my time in my sorority, and couldn’t imagine college life without these girls. Of course there have been tough times and trials of faith, but with them by my side I feel like we can accomplish anything.
