This year’s Dance Marathon proved to be another success for both the partnership of Zeta Tau Alpha and Alpha Tau Omega along with the entire Penn State community.  Thousands of students joined together to raise over $5.2 million dollars for children with cancer at Hershey Medical Center. For the 12th year in a row, Zeta and ATO were the top money raisers with $293,591 raised through canning and door-to-door pledging. For 46 hours straight, our dancers stayed on their feet in the Bryce Jordan Center, to symbolize the enduring strength children with cancer must have every day. 2007 THON also marked its first year to call the BJC home!! This bigger and better facility allowed even more people to witness this year's amazing event. Always our inspirations, our THON children Tucker Haas and Robby Schweitzer hung out all weekend for the festivities and a few water gun fights! We are happy to report that this May; Robby will have reached the 2-year mark in remission. After relapsing last fall, Tucker underwent more treatments and went into remission in January! Although THON season is only 5 months a year, we keep in close contact with our amazing THON families year round. With THON 2008 being held in the Bryce Jordan Center, next year looks to be a fantastic Dance Marathon!
